Fes 3 day tour to the morocco sahara desert. In this 3 days / 2 nights tour, you will visit so many beautiful places in this short period of time. First of all, we depart from Fes the cultural city, to visit Ifrane city known as the Switzerland of Morocco, and also the cedar forest. Stop for lunch in Midelt, then head to the beautiful Ziz valley. You will go to Merzouga Sahara desert of Morocco. Where you can ride camels, stay in the desert camp located right in the desert as a part of the trip. Among them, nothing is better than watching the sunset and sunrise over the Sahara desert. Ride through the beautiful Sahara desert of Merzouga in a 4×4 car. We will also be going to Rissani traditional market and Erfoud the fossils town. Finally we are back to Fes. That is where the desert tour comes to an end.
The 3 days Sahara tour begins by picking the client from the airport or his or her hotel in Fes. After that, we proceed to the south via Imouzzer to go to Ifrane and this is where the low temperature and snow is reported; houses here are built in the style of Swiss village- No wonder Ifrane is called the Switzerland of Morocco. Next, we move to the Cedars forest which is home to the Barbary Macaques. It is allowed to feed them while walking through the forest and etc. We then proceed to Midelt for lunch. Then we proceed to the Saharan territories, and on the way, we drive through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz River, and by the afternoon we get to the Moroccan Sahara of Merzouga. You will change the mode of transport to camels and cross the dessert. A particular halt will be made to let you view the beautiful sun set on the top of a dune. Then, proceed to the desert luxury camp where you will have a chance to drink tea dancing to the beat of the Berber drums under the stars. Dinner and overnight in the camp.
Greeting the day at very early in the morning to see the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert is a must do. Free time for breakfast. You then return to Merzouga on the camels and the driver will be waiting for you there. This day is for the exploration of the Merzouga region. There is so much to explore in this area from sand dunes and wild lake to mines and areas with fossils and fabulous oases. These are so many ideal places for a number of outdoor activities. First of all, we will begin our tour in Merzouga and we will drive on the dirt road to a mine of ancient eyeliner. We then visit the nomads in their centrally constructed handwoven tent. Discover how they live when they are taking a Berber tea. The next stop is the Khamlia village where you will witness Gnaoua music and dancing performances. Its inhabitants are originating from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan and Niger. Lunch time at a restaurant. After that we take a walk in the palm trees garden. After driving for a few kilometers you will be able to witness the wild lake of Merzouga also known as the flamingos lake. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.
Get up early in the morning to have a look at the beauty of the sunrise in desert. Free time for the breakfast and then we return back to Merzouga with the camels where the driver is waiting for us. We then move out of the desert and head into Rissani town which is considered as the capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a large commercial town in the area with a large market place which comes alive on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. After a walk in the Rissani souk, we proceed to Erfoud to visit one of the workshops of fossilized marble After that we drive along the Ziz river, we stop for a panoramic view of the Ziz valley. We then proceed through the cedar forest and Ifran to get to Fes. Last but not the least, we will drop you at the airport or directly to your hotel. End of the tour
