Therefore, the target areas are Draa valley, which is the longest river in Morocco, Rissani town, and Saharan Merzouga. Where you can ride camels, watch a magic sunset and sunrise and sleep in the middle of the desert in a camp. Experience the unpaved roads of the Sahara desert of Merzouga in beefed-up 4×4 car. Then we proceed to the Dades valley, the Todra gorges and Amridil Kasbah. Thus, the tourists move to the last destination before the end of the tour – Marrakech.
The private Morocco desert tour for 5 days begin by picking the clients from airport or their hotel in Marrakech in the early morning. Then proceed driving through the exiting High Atlas, mountains and Tizi-N-Tichka pass. There shall be brief momentary halts to allow the capturing of views of the astonishing terrains. Next day after breakfast it is a day for fill and fowling the city of Ouarzazate. Firstly, we visit the Atlas studios, where various famous movies were shot, and visit the Taourirt Kasbah : an early defensive structure made of mud. We then proceed towards Agdz and then merge with Draa valley, the longest valley of Morocco. We will drive with it and, sometimes, take a break to have a look at the continuity of the palm trees groves, the nice Ksars, Kasbahs and Berber villages. Lunch in Nkob or Alnif: It can be arranged quite freely as there are many restaurants and cafes there. In the afternoon we move to Merzouga Sahara passing through Rissani. When you get to the Erg Chebbi sand dunes you then get on camels, to cross the Sahara. Before you, a small stop will be planned on a summit of an important dune to contemplate the sunset. Then proceed to the camp which actually is the outcome of the traditional tents of the nomadic tribes with the amenities of a luxury hotel. There is entertainment in the campsite, the group dances to the Berber drums music round the fire under the stars at night. Lunch and over night stay at same camp.
Accessing the early bird is very essential as this will enable one to have a sneak view of the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Next, however, you come back on camels to Merzouga where the driver is already waiting on you. We have oriented the day to discover the area of Merzouga. It has so many marvellous attractions starting with sand dunes, wild lake, mines, fossils areas and of course fabulous oases. Which are in fact ideal for so many outdoor activities. First of all we leave our car in Merzouga and then going off-road to the eyeliner ancient mine. We then enquire the nomads by visiting them in their excellent handmade woven abode. How they dressed while taking Baba a Berber tea. The next stop is the Khamlia village through which you will watch and listen to the live Gnaoua music and dancing show. The inhabitants of desert area are from sub-Saharan countries such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger among others. Time for having lunch in a restaurant is free time. Then we walked in groves containing palm trees. Then driv eforwardly several KMs to watch the wild lake of Merzouga popularly known as flamingos lake. Lunch at the Expo center and over night in a hotel.
After breakfast, we exit the desert in order to go to the town of Rissani which, was the capital of the Tafilalet region. today Rissani is still an important trading hub of the area with a large market that experiences a hustle and bustle on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. From Rissani Souk we proceed to Erfoud where we visit one of the workshops of fossilized marble. Then we proceed through the Oasis of Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to get to Todra Gorge. Its course has created a great gorge in the mountains – It has sculptured a high red cliff-sided canyon. These gorges are good place for rock climbers. Navigation is allowed in the gorges and one can only admire the marvelous views of the gorges. Spare time for lunch eating in a restaurant. We then progress towards the Dades valley passing through Boumalne Dades. Of course, the stops are made and photographs taken beside the “monkey fingers” rock formation. And on a place on a rock stranded on a hill overlooking the Dades valley. Last one, dinner and accommodation in a hotel.
On the final day of your Morocco desert tour you can proceed to Kalaa Magouna to visit Rose valley. Festivals: A Rose Festival is normally carried out in the month of May and the locals showcase their rose products: perfumes, rose water, oil and cosmetics. Then we go through various Kasbahs, such as Kasbah Amridil one of the old Kasbah situated at Skoura, enclosed with the palm grove of Skoura. Breakfast is taken in the hotel then we proceed to the town of Ouarzazate, having time for lunch. We can proceed to Marrakech by car passing through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas mountain range. Lastly, we transfer you to your hotel/arrange or Marrakech Airport. End of the tour
